Kirbtech Industries this month marks thirty years of supplying, servicing and supporting equipment for mining, industrial, commercial and civil operations across Central Queensland.
From a single workshop
The business began with one workshop and a small hire fleet, built around a straightforward idea: that operators in this region are better served by people who know the equipment and can get to it quickly. That has not changed.
What the business looks like now
Today Kirbtech operates a hire fleet spanning power generation, compressed air, lighting, fuel handling and cleaning equipment, alongside:
- Servicing and planned maintenance
- Repairs and controlled rebuilds
- Fire safety assessments
- Onsite and workshop delivery
The part that has not changed
The through-line across thirty years has been the same: assess the equipment honestly, recommend what is practical rather than what is easiest to quote, and turn up when it matters. The people who built that reputation are still the ones doing the work.

Looking ahead
Continued investment in field service capability, technical training and local apprenticeships remains the focus, so the capability stays in the region rather than being flown in.
